About Compass Z

When my interest in current business news led me to an array of articles about corruption and fraud throughout the highest levels of corporate leadership, I started to ponder the effects of unethical actions, specifically how they could affect the future generation of business leaders. Wanting to safeguard entrepreneurship and innovation, I envisioned a business culture in which moral principles guide people’s behavior and become second nature. To this end, I came up with the idea to educate fellow high school students about the importance of ethics as they pursue related careers. My multi-tiered initiative will include live talks, hands-on activities, webinars, and online resources. My hope is to instill values that inform all aspects of our lives.

Meet Ash

Ash is a Junior at The Adelson School in Las Vegas, Nevada. Passionate about math and its applications, he has begun to delve into the world of finance and investing. As a freshman, he built his own DCF model to help him choose stocks, an ongoing pursuit. He has continued to explore his interests through such classes as Business Principles Honors, Entrepreneurship Honors, and AP Microeconomics. Ash has also completed a college accounting course through BYU and an economics/investing summer program at UCLA. One of the founding members of his high school DECA chapter and three-time International Competition qualifier, Ash has been inspired to contribute to the business education of teens. To this end, he has founded an initiative that promotes the importance of business ethics to fellow high school students.

Ash is an AP Scholar, a National Merit semi-finalist, a National Honor Society Member, as well as the winner of several academic achievement awards. He is also a volunteer for and teen leadership board member of The Friendship Circle Las Vegas, an organization that helps teens with disabilities such as autism and down syndrome to engage socially. For Ash’s consistent dedication, he was awarded the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition by one of Nevada’s senators.
